Scope of Work
The purpose of this Work Item is to understand the needs of the Cloud Computing community on a relatively granular scale, with feedback from the user’s needs collected and analyzed to ensure that their priorities are fully taken into account.
This also allows for an identification of users’ highest priority (existing or new) use cases and for some refinement of the CSC Phase 1 report conclusions.
An on-line Survey focuses primarily on the Cloud Computing users (e.g. SMEs, Administrations) and identifies needs, challenges, requirements for larger adoption. A special attention is brought to Cloud Computing standards and certification.
As a result, some recommendations are provided regarding the deployment of Cloud Computing services and the support that standards and certification can provide.
A further analysis of the material collected has been done in another Work Item to assess the availability and maturity of standards for their implementation.
