Bernd Becker, Eurocloud
Next to his role for EuroCloud Europe he acted as Chairman of EuroCloud Deutschland_eco e.V. between 2010 and 2014 and he still representing this German EuroCloud chapter within the EuroCloud network.
Further, he is actively contributing to the activities of eco e.V., the Association of the German Internet Economy, where he was a Member of the Board between 2002 and 2010, before he took over the responsibility for EuroCloud.
He started his career at Nixdorf Computers and was in charge of different managing positions at various Siemens Business Units. In his latest responsibility at Siemens AG, he was acting as Business Manager for Software as a Service and Web-based Services on a global basis.
Since 2010, he runs his own business with Scout2Cloud and as Co-Owner of the ICTAN GmbH by providing Business Consultancy Services for Cloud providers and Cloud customers, offering a wide range of high- quality and targeted consulting services in forward looking IT projects on regional to international basis.
Emmanuel Darmois, CommLedge
Emmanuel has over thirty years of experience in various positions in academics and in the ICT industry.
He has started as a Computer Science professor and researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems. For over 20 years, he has been working with Alcatel-Lucent in various positions in Research, R&D and operational business.
In his last position, he has been as VP Standards: this is where he caught the ‘standards virus’ that turns any reasonable engineer into a standards propagandist.
He is ETSI Vice-Chairman of the Board, and chair of the Operational Coordination Group. He is very active Smart Grids (convener of the Methodology work group in the Smart Grids Coordination Group), Smart Cities, and Cloud Computing. He has been the coordinator within ETSI for the Cloud Standards Coordination initiative.
Anders Kingstedt, Softarc
Anders has excellent communication skills and is a recurring speaker at various seminars and conferences. Having worked in different roles that spans from developer, project manager, sales manager, general manager and building business as CEO makes for an interesting mix of experiences that will feed into the task at hand in a positive way.
Since 2010, the focus in many of the assignment is on Cloud Computing and Anders is providing guidance for public sector organizations and private companies on how to move to and tap into Cloud Computing and to harvest its many potential benefits. Anders was chairing the joint effort between ISO/IEC and ITU-T leading up to the successful publication of a joint ISO/IEC and ITU-T standard on Cloud Computing Reference Architecture (ISO/IEC 17789 / ITU-T Y.3502).
Olivier Le Grand, Orange
He has been involved in the telecommunications industry for nearly 25 years. In 1990 he joined the R&D arm of France Telecom, now part of Orange Labs, the Orange worldwide innovation network. Involved in standardization since 1992, Olivier has contributed to ITU-T and ETSI activities, mainly in the field of control architectures and signaling protocols for ISDN, ATM, NGN and IPTV.
ITU-T SG 13 vice-chairman from 2005 to 2012, Olivier is currently involved in architecture related aspects of cloud computing, software-defined networking and network functions virtualization. Editor and contributor for several ITU-T Recommendations, he was recently co-editor of Recommendation ITU-T Y.3502 | ISO/IEC 17789 ("Cloud computing reference architecture").
Olivier is an engineering graduate (1987) from the National Institute of Telecommunications (Evry, France), also known as TELECOM SudParis.
Peter Schmitting, FSCOM
Peter has worked for more than 20 years in standardization, namely for the European Telecommunications Standards Institute ETSI where he developed test specifications for a multitude of technologies ranging from traditional telecommunications to intelligent transport systems. He is frequently involved in the technical organization of ETSI’s PlugTests interoperability events that bring together the top industry players to interconnect prototype equipment for new emerging technologies. For FSCOM’s industry clients Peter managed a great number of projects realizing solutions for complex distributed automatic test systems.
Standing on this solid testing background, Peter likes to look into the Cloud(s) and to contribute his experiences to the CSC2 work.
Wolfgang Ziegler, z-rands
He has a long record in standardisation activities, e.g. in the Open Grid Forum since its beginning. He is a co-chair of the Open Grid Forum working group responsible for the WS-Agreement and WS-Agreement Negotiation specification.
Moreover, he is area director for applications of the Open Grid Forum. He is a member of the working group on SLA management of the Telemanagement Forum and contributed in the ETSI Cloud Standardisation Coordination phase 1 task force.
